Are you remembering what Jesus did for us on the cross when you partake of the bread and wine?
Jesus, taking a loaf of bread, gave thanks to God. As He broke it and gave it to them, He said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you.” In the same way He took the cup, and when He had supped and gave the cup to them, they drank of it. He said, “This cup is the New Covenant in My blood; do this whenever you drink of it in remembrance of Me.”
His body was broken (at His death) and His blood was shed to provide for our salvation. 1 Corinthians 11:26, “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.”
Yes, whenever I partake of the Lord's Supper I contemplate His all-sufficient sacrifice for my sins, securing my salvation for all eternity.
